Come May 3, the world will celebrate an enigma, Dan Akpovwa, publisher of the Abuja-based newspaper,  Abuja Inquirer, as he turns 50.
Why the day will go down as most memorable is that he and his beautiful wife, Doris, who trained as a Petroleum Geoscientist at the prestigious World famous Imperial College, London, will also mark their 18th wedding anniversary.

His earthly journey in the past years has been a huge inspiration to his generation. He exudes warmth always. If you have a chance meeting with him, you can be assured that he will leave you with a good impression: tremendous compassion and empathy.
In the past years, he has touched the lives of countless others who have sought his help in one way or another.
Already, a committee of Dan’s friends led by Stan Rerri, Scot Tommey, Gogo Karibi-Whyte and Wale Otegbola, among others, are planning a spectacular private dinner and dance party to celebrate  his attainment of the Golden Jubilee.
Akpovwa, an award -winning and widely travelled journalist, has earned a reputation as one of the best in the media and Public Relations world.
Though the venue of the private dinner is still being kept under wraps, guests will be flying in from all directions for the big bash.
According to a source, the Abuja dinner is just the first leg of the series of celebrations in honour of Akpovwa as he turns 50.
Society Happenings gathered that there are plans to host him in Houston, Texas during the OTC Meetings in America;  Miami, Florida and  London, respectively.
