Come May 3, the world will celebrate an enigma, Dan Akpovwa, publisher of the Abuja-based newspaper, Abuja Inquirer, as he turns 50.
Why the day will go down as most memorable is that he and his beautiful wife, Doris, who trained as a Petroleum Geoscientist at the prestigious World famous Imperial College, London, will also mark their 18th wedding anniversary.
His earthly journey in the past years has been a huge inspiration to
his generation. He exudes warmth always. If you have a chance meeting
with him, you can be assured that he will leave you with a good
impression: tremendous compassion and empathy.

Already, a committee of Dan’s friends led by Stan Rerri, Scot Tommey,
Gogo Karibi-Whyte and Wale Otegbola, among others, are planning a
spectacular private dinner and dance party to celebrate his attainment
of the Golden Jubilee.

According to a source, the Abuja dinner is just the first leg of the series of celebrations in honour of Akpovwa as he turns 50.
Society Happenings gathered that there are plans to host him in Houston, Texas during the OTC Meetings in America; Miami, Florida and London, respectively.
